AGREEMENT
All
Yachts-sailing.com sailing charter bookings fully comply with the Charter
Party Contract which is the official charter contract in Greece.
PAYMENTS
A
down payment (50% deposit) is required by bank's transfer (or credit card
charge) to our account at the time of booking in order to confirm it and sign
the charter contracts. The balance is due prior to embarkation according to the
charter contract (usually a month before embarkation).
CANCELLATION POLICY
In
the event of cancellation of the charter by the Charterer, for any reason,
after signing this Agreement, cancellation fees are calculated based on number
of days between the date of cancellation (received in writing) and departure
date, according to the charter contract or a 30% of the total charter fee,
for bookings cancelled within a period of 90-60 days prior to boat embarkation,
50% of the total charter fee, for 60-40 days prior to embarkation and the 100%
of the total fee, for bookings cancelled in a period less than 40 days prior to
embarkation.
In
any case we guarantee that the total charter fee (with the exception of 300EUR
administration fees) will be refunded to charterer if the cancelled yacht is
re-booked for the same period under same conditions. Please note that any
Credit card or bank transaction handling fees are not refundable.
In
the event that the Charterer should elect to terminate the charter and deliver
the yacht prior to the date designated in this Agreement, the owner shall not
be liable to the return of any proportional part of hire money.
DELIVERY- RE-DELIVERY (Bareboat Sailing Yachts only)
Our
starting & ending day is Saturday (unless otherwise stated on charter
contract). Embarkation (check-in) is at 17.00 p.m., and disembarkation
(check-out) is at 09.00 a.m. The Yacht should be returned to the base the day before
the end of the charter period, latest 18.00 p.m. Other arrangements can be made
after special agreement.
Security Deposit (Bareboat Sailing Yachts only)
With the exception of crewed charters, on bareboat and skippered
charters we request you to pay a refundable security deposit, (which varies
according to the size of the yachts) at the time of embarkation. This can be
paid by cash, travelers’ checks, certified bank drafts or credit card. Payment
by credit card can only be used for the security deposit, not for balance
payments or for the payment of options rented. Please not that, personal checks
are not accepted. The security deposit is to cover, in the unforeseen event, any
possibility of any minor damages which are not covered by the insurance of the
yacht. Upon the safe return of the yacht it will be returned in full to you. The
charterer may also choose an optional insurance (non-refundable) of security
deposit also payable by credit card. (Minimum charter: 7 days).
Insurance
All
our yachts are fully insured against damage to hull, gear and equipment as well
as for third party liability. Please give your attention that yacht's insurance
does not cover your personal belongings and injuries.
Travel Insurance
We
strongly suggest you to buy travel insurance, including cancellation insurance
to protect your booking deposit.
Provisions
In
all our bases, provisioning is not a serious problem, since there are
supermarkets inside or close to the marina of departure. If you want to order
in advance, fill in our provisioning form and everything will be delivered to
you upon your arrival on the yacht. Please ask Yachts-Sailing.com sales
consultants for our provisions lists.
SAILING QUALIFICATIONS (Bareboat Sailing Yachts only)
Please note that our yachts are chartered bareboat, under the condition
that at least two members of the crew have a sailing certificate (one sailing
certificate is compulsory for sailing in Greece, Turkey, Italy and in Croatia
where a VHF license is also required), or at least sufficient qualifications,
to be determined by us, through a resume of your sailing experience, that we
will kindly ask you to complete. Of course the love for the sea and sailing is
what is required for a skippered or crewed charter.
